Georgia STEM Day is a day for schools, educators, students, and companies to engage in activities involving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). By celebrating Georgia STEM Day 2022, you help to raise awareness of the importance of STEM in our state. Thousands of schools across Georgia will participate to celebrate Georgia STEM Day on March 4, 2022. Georgia STEM Day is a day for schools, educators, students, and companies to engage in activities involving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

This program will engage participants from animal habitats around the Zoo, and will connect learners to STEM concepts as they learn about Zoo Atlanta’s animal ambassadors and conservation initiatives. 11:00-11:30	Video Game Design. Presented by STEAMsport. This session introduces students to the fundamentals of creating video games. Students gain an understanding of computational learning skills, coding and how to create animated stories. 11:30-12:00	HYPE's Ultimate Guide to Programming a Rock, Paper, Scissors Game with Scratch - In our segment, we will introduce students to core programming fundamentals. Then, we will demonstrate how to program a rock, paper, scissors game with Scratch. Scratch is a block-based programming language and website designed for children 8 - 16 years old.
